BF6 BR Mode Goes Live This Week as a Free-to-Play Game Mode
Following a long period of rumors, the BR game type for BF6 is finally arriving. Recent rumors claiming its arrival would happen alongside Season 1 were spot-on. Players can access the mode starting tomorrow.
Season 1 Adding a Fresh Location, Style, and Guns
Together with the battle royale addition, Season 1 is also starting. This adds a fresh location, a new mode, and an expanded arsenal. What's more, the Redacted Sector is being introduced. A featured teaser will be released at go-live, offering fans a glimpse of what's to come.
Free-to-Play Model Enables the Mode Open to All
Maybe the biggest detail is that the battle royale mode will be F2P. Much like established games, you don't have to purchase the main title to participate. A number of gamers have already tested pre-release builds of the experience. Those playtests were conducted in a collaborative space, which the team described as their largest fan involvement project.
The intense thrill during encounters with enemy players can't be found in different battle royale. It's like a true survival situation, and you genuinely worry if you make it or not.
Although I was a skeptic earlier, I'm fully a fan of the new mode since trying it.
These first feedback from players have been overwhelmingly favorable. Naturally, the mode may have evolved over the last couple of months in terms of balancing and speed. But, initial indicators are promising that Redsec could emerge as a true competitor to leading offerings. Many are wishing that the top weapons from the original Battlefield 6 will also apply in the BR.
