Devoted supporters of the pop star are calling for that a individual who breached a fence and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or deported from Singapore.

A viral video reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast walked down a event pathway flanked by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over the Star's Past Trauma

Numerous fans accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote one more response on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some demanded digital services to block Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande looked startled when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The movie, to be premiered on November 21, is the sequel of a dual interpretation of the well-known Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected relationship between two very different characters.

The show itself is a spin-off of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning film of the previous year in the UK, and scored a dozen award recognitions, earning a pair for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
