Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

Arsenal's 10-game winning streak was ended by the Black Cats prior to the international hiatus, however can the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' new record, the new release, is out on Friday.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I won't force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer team," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a period too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from injury but their offense is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole home defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple matches - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' only on the road win this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest manager.

So, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their past four games.

A family member told me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great success on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's side pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually turns out to be rather close. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.

They have got lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

The away side's display in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.

However I am not going to do that. Instead, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely eager for a good result, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have nonetheless been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
