The Reform UK leader Claims Educators of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Racial Topics

Nigel Farage has asserted that educators would initiate walkouts shortly after a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “harming young minds” by instructing students that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

During an event for a private US Christian college, Farage outlined his perspective on the UK education system, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “taken over schooling”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators very quickly after securing a victory,” he remarked during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They instruct children to feel guilt about their nation. They are telling little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They create division, not uniting us. They are feeding this harmful mindset.”

In response to these assertions, Daniel Kebede dismissed the idea that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. Kebede noted that industrial action must relate to educators’ working conditions, and questioned whether Reform would attack these right after taking office.

“The politician has crafted his public life on dog-whistle politics and currently, similar to other figures, he is lining up teachers and their organizations for a fight,” Kebede stated.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … If he were to lead the government he would sell out our public services, including education … and he would be a disaster for students and learning.”

Reform, which is leading the polls by a significant margin, has not set out much detail on its educational plans and does not appear to have appointed an education spokesperson.

Nonetheless, his comments suggested the party would overhaul the educational framework. Farage declared: “We have got a massive job with education – absolutely herculean. Moreover, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it requires years, years to turn this around.”

Farage expressed that younger generations are receptive to critical thinking, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Paying tribute to Charlie Kirk, he commented: “All I want education to do to teach critical thinking – to educate individuals that there are two points of view and you make up your own mind rather than what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in both Britain and America.”

The party has conflicted with the UK’s largest teaching union, after the union leader labeled them “far right and racist” and described the leader as “a cheap imitation”.

The politician has charged Kebede of being “a self-declared Marxist” … an individual intent that our children should be poisoned at school, their thinking tainted regarding national issues” and has argued that the union is trying to indoctrinate youth opposed to his party.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years led to significant interruptions in educational institutions and extensive missed instruction for students.

At the US event, Farage also pledged to help spread the digital courses of the institution in the UK. He said such groups were “key to resistance”, noting: “I mean this. I will help attract vast numbers of young people to your online courses. I make that commitment now and I will follow through.”

The college, a religious educational establishment, offers free courses. According to its online description: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to perpetuate the blessings of civil and religious liberty. The college furnishes these beautiful courses for no charge to all who wish to learn.”
